Summary of Role Purpose:
FNZ is a leading provider of advanced online financial applications. Being software developer at FNZ means being involved in application development at all levels from the database to web pages. We expect developers to be familiar with all parts of the application, which ranges from financial maths to reporting engines to real-time web applications. Software developers are also expected to be involved in all stages of development, from helping analysts with initial requirements to testing.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Design: Collaborate with analysts to produce initial requirements and draw up detailed designs for new functionality and changes to existing functionality
- Development: Implement new and changed functionality in line with requirements.
- Maintenance: Support existing functionality during testing and in production.
- Research: Investigate new techniques and technologies that may be useful to the product and the company.
- Other tasks: To undertake any other projects/ tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the company
Additional Information
- Degree qualified 2:1 or above or equivalent,
- Experience in a similar role preferable but not essential.
- Willing to travel and relocate in line with business growth.
- Confident, and able to take initiative given client– and delivery-focused environment;
- Independent, self directing and delivery focused working style;
